DR JOE CANALESE Awarded an OAM on Australia Day
Wednesday 3rd of February 2010
Congratulations to Dr Joe Canalese of Dubbo on being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) on Australia Day for his wonderful work on rural health. This is brilliant news. Anyone who knows Joe will know he is a most worthy recipient of this tremendous acknowledgement from the nation he so loves.
Joe has been a great supporter of the Sing Australia Dubbo group. He has not been able to sing with the Dubbo group often because of his enormous commitments but you will always find him helping out somewhere - quietly and effectively.
On Australia Day he celebrated his award by singing with the group. He may be able to do more of that in the future but whatever he does, Joe always contributes in a most giving and effective way. His wife Vicki, who is also a member of the Dubbo group is also tremendous and valued supporter of Sing Australia. We wish them both well and much happiness.
We are very proud of you Joe.
