Colin Slater OAM
Managing Director of Sing Australia and
National Director of Sing Australia Choirs Colin Slater is the founder and sole Director of Sing Australia Pty Ltd, established in 1985. He was the Executive Director and Event Manager for Australia Day in the National Capital Inc. from 1989 to 2004. Colin has outlined a vision for Australia to be a country where everyone sings. To achieve his goals in encouraging more Australians to sing, he travels extensively throughout Australia running workshops and establishing Sing Australia Choirs.
Colin Slater teaches singing mainly to members of Sing Australia who want to progress their singing skills. He also runs singing workshops in the community and in the corporate world for the purposes of motivation and human resource development.

Kate Gilbert
Publications Manager and Personal Assistant to the National Director
Kate joined Sing Australia in 2000 following a career in the Public Service organizing ministerial conferences and advisory groups, and providing ministerial liaison services. Kate has always been interested in music and dance, and in years past has taught ballet for one of Australia's foremost ballet schools and stage-managed their ballets. She joined the Colours choir in 1998 and took up singing lessons to hone her skills in her new found passion.
Since joining Sing Australia Kate has been responsible for producing all the Sing Australia songbooks and the members handbook. This keeps her constantly in contact with publishing companies and on top of copyright requirements. Kate also assists with event management and provides administrative support to the National Director.
