Accompanist

Each Sing Australia group has an accompanist and he or she is a key figure within the group. The accompanist needs to provide strong musical backing to the conductor and should also be prepared to participate in the fun of the night. If you want to be an accompanist, you need to be a reasonably experienced pianist with a good sight reading ability. It is also important to really appreciate the goals of Sing Australia. The accompanist is paid.
