The usual three songs will be in the service program: Abide With Me (verses 1\, 2\, 4 and 5)\, Amazing Grace (verses 1\, 2\, 3 and 6) and the Australian National Anthem (Advance Australia Fair – both verses 1 and 2). All songs are found in the Anzac Songbook. Full uniform is required. Due to the closure of the adjacent Memorial Club for development\, breakfast will not be served afterwards. There are no perceivable issues or risks for members attending. Remember: parking is more freely available on the northern side of Roseville station.

DESCRIPTION:Sing Australia Gordon will once again lead the singing at Huon Park\, North Turramurra for their Carols By Candlelight event\, singing indoors in the residents’ Park Club lounge. Refreshments will be served by the residents afterwards. The residents will raise money towards our selected charity for 2023\, StreetWork. \nThere are no perceived risks for our singers. \nHuon Park is located on Bobbin Head Road\, on the corner of the roundabout at the northern end of the golf course. There is little parking available inside the village – please park near the entrances in either Bobbin Head Road or Curagul Road. \nFull uniform is required as well as the traditional Christmas bling (Santa hats etc). Both Christmas Books 1 and 2 will be required.

SUMMARY:Willandra Bungalows + BBQ
DESCRIPTION:We have been invited to sing at Willandra Bungalows\, then enjoy a sausage sizzle bbq afterwards with the residents.\nThis is an over 55s establishment. We are able to drive in and park in Visitors’ Parking bays. The entire area is flat with no stairs.\nWe will sing in an enclosed performance space (I will be taking my electric piano as there is not a suitable piano on the premises) and our audience will be seated both near us and just outside in an undercover area through large glass sliding doors.\nEven though we have sung here in previous years\, I did go there to meet the organiser and plan where our chairs/piano would be placed.\nI am confident that there are no perceived risks to our singers. DESCRIPTION:Through our contacts at the Archdiocese of Sydney\, Sing Australia have been invited to perform at this year’s Sydney Street Feast. The Street Feast is run annually and was created in conjunction with\, and is sponsored by\, the PAYCE Foundation\, Paynter Dixon\, St Merkorious Charity and Sydney’s Catholic Archdiocese in response to Pope Francis’ World Day of Poor. The Feast involves volunteers from many support organisations coming together to feed the homeless and the disadvantaged.\nIt’s to be held on the St. Mary’s Cathedral forecourt on Friday 17th November from 12 noon to 2:00pm. No stage is involved – we will sing on the forecourt\, with chairs to be provided. The location presents no foreseeable risks.\nWe have singers coming together from Gordon\, Ashbury\, Kiama\, Sutherland and St. George. Full uniform is required\, and a hat is recommended. Songs will be well-known songs for singers and for the audience from Books 3\, 4 and 5. There will be two sets of 6 songs each.

DESCRIPTION:The Gordon group will be holding their annual Charity Concert on Friday November 10th\, 2023\, starting at 8pm. The concert will be held in the Gordon East Public School Hall\, our regular Friday night location. Funds will be raised this year for StreetWork\, a local charity that provides mentorship programs for teenagers who struggle with mental health (often suicidal thoughts and self-harm)\, alcohol and substance misuse\, social isolation\, school or work disengagement\, youth crime and at risk of youth homelessness.\nMembers will perform on stage\, which has easy access and ample space to both stand and sit in safety. The conductor will perform from ground level on a slightly raised platform\, only 8 inches high and 1 metre square with safety rail behind. There are no other safety issues perceived.\nRefreshments will be served afterwards. Full uniform will be required.

DESCRIPTION:SA groups from Collaroy\, Ashbury and Gosford join the Gordon group for their Friday night singing to thank and celebrate the assistance provided to Gordon when first forming 11 years ago. We expect around 50 members attending – the hall and parking can easily accommodate this number of people. The Back to Gordon Night is held at the Gordon East Public School – the usual location for Gordon’s Friday night singing. There are no risks to members that are deemed reportable – the school hall\, grounds and facilities are well-lit and accessible for all.

No perceived risk.\n* Most of the group will stand on a raised platform approx 6m x 4m x 20cm high. There is a step to one side for those needing this.\nPerceived risk – falling off step. Measures taken to stop this – step is next to back wall which can be used to steady oneself. A group member will be responsible for standing on other side to assist singers stepping up. Same will apply when leaving platform.\n* No railing around sides and front of platform. Perceived risk of falling off. Measures taken to prevent this..- those standing on stage will leave a metre gap at front and sides. Platform stands flush against a back wall as does the piano.\nOther singers will stand on floor at sides of platform whilst singing. Chairs will be offered for those who wish to sit at front on floor level. No perceived risks for them.\n* Conductor will stand on large box approx 15cms high and a metre square. Perceived risk – falling off. Measure taken to prevent this – conductor will stand at front of box which adjoins stage/platform. It is a solid box\, so no chance of tipping.\n* All those singing will be financial members of Sing Australia.\n* As Leader and organiser of this event\, I am happy with the safe arrangements which have been put in place.

The usual three songs will be in the service program: Abide With Me (verses 1\, 2\, 4 and 5)\, Amazing Grace (verses 1\, 2\, 3 and 6) and the Australian National Anthem (Advance Australia Fair – both verses 1 and 2). All songs are found in the Anzac Songbook. Full uniform is required. Breakfast will be served in the adjacent Roseville Club afterwards for all attendees. Remember: parking is more freely available on the northern side of Roseville station.
