DESCRIPTION:We will be singing as part oof Club Grandview’s ANZAC Service. This is a regular event for us and looked forward to by our singers.\nIt is a daytime service and an outdoor venue in the club grounds. There is a trip hazard frrom equipment leads which is managed by securing them. There is no shade and it can be hot so seats are provided and singers are advised to wear a hat and bring something to drink. We erect a small gazebo for the accompanist . The conductor also sits there when not conducting. We have previously had a member faint at this event. This is managed by having a retired St John’s ambulance officer and a retired doctor amongst our singers. I also have singer’s emergancy contact numbers at gigs.

It will be dark when we start and there is a trip hazzard from the Morton Bay fig trees that grow around the perimeter of the park. This will be explained to the singrs and they will be advised to use a torch when arriving. The stage area is separate from where we sing so there shoud not be a trip harard from the equipment leads. DESCRIPTION:Through our contacts at the Archdiocese of Sydney\, Sing Australia have been invited to perform at this year’s Sydney Street Feast. The Street Feast is run annually and was created in conjunction with\, and is sponsored by\, the PAYCE Foundation\, Paynter Dixon\, St Merkorious Charity and Sydney’s Catholic Archdiocese in response to Pope Francis’ World Day of Poor. The Feast involves volunteers from many support organisations coming together to feed the homeless and the disadvantaged.\nIt’s to be held on the St. Mary’s Cathedral forecourt on Friday 17th November from 12 noon to 2:00pm. No stage is involved – we will sing on the forecourt\, with chairs to be provided. The location presents no foreseeable risks.\nWe have singers coming together from Gordon\, Ashbury\, Kiama\, Sutherland and St. George. Full uniform is required\, and a hat is recommended. Songs will be well-known songs for singers and for the audience from Books 3\, 4 and 5. There will be two sets of 6 songs each.
