DESCRIPTION:The Texas Community will be host to year 11 & 12 students from the Gold Coast Christian College (GCCC). The School and students have been visiting the Texas community for a number of years now . The students have the opportunity be exposed to a number of different organisations around the area as well as helping out with ‘odd jobs’ around the town – eg painting\, gardening etc. The students will be joining our normal practice on Wednesday 24 June and will sing with us\, some students will also bring some of their instruments which will make for a fun enjoyable morning for us all. After lunch we will then go to Mingoola Place Aged Care at the Texas Hospital to entertain the residents with our combined singing\, this also gives the students exposure and an opportunity to meet and chat with the residents. This is always a wonderful day for all of us involved and to build connections across generations. Our accompanist Kath Venables will be using her own keyboard.
