SUMMARY:Willandra Bungalows + BBQ
DESCRIPTION:We have been invited to sing at Willandra Bungalows\, then enjoy a sausage sizzle bbq afterwards with the residents.\nThis is an over 55s establishment. We are able to drive in and park in Visitors’ Parking bays. The entire area is flat with no stairs.\nWe will sing in an enclosed performance space (I will be taking my electric piano as there is not a suitable piano on the premises) and our audience will be seated both near us and just outside in an undercover area through large glass sliding doors.\nEven though we have sung here in previous years\, I did go there to meet the organiser and plan where our chairs/piano would be placed.\nI am confident that there are no perceived risks to our singers. There will be 5 singers from the Gordon Group joining us too\, equalling about 22 singers total.

DESCRIPTION:Collaroy Plateau Sing Australia has been invited to sing at ‘The Dugout’ within the Gallipoli Building at the War Vets Narrabeen. This is a large space which also houses a cafe. Our audience will be the residents from the independent living which includes one of our singers. (And of course we hope to inspire some of them to join us on a Monday evening..!)\nAfter the concert\, afternoon tea will be served.\nWe shall also use this opportunity to take a photo of our 13 singers in uniform holding and showing off their National Gathering masks which are now all complete.\nBeing a retirement venue\, I foresee no perceived risks. Parking is available within the grounds very close to the Gallipoli Building\, and our singers will be provided with a chair.

DESCRIPTION:Singing Christmas Songs with piano accompaniment. RISK ASSESSMENT –\n* Parking on street with direct access to brewery – no steps. No perceived risk.\n* Most of the group will stand on a raised platform approx 6m x 4m x 20cm high. There is a step to one side for those needing this.\nPerceived risk – falling off step. Measures taken to stop this – step is next to back wall which can be used to steady oneself. A group member will be responsible for standing on other side to assist singers stepping up. Same will apply when leaving platform.\n* No railing around sides and front of platform. Perceived risk of falling off. Measures taken to prevent this..- those standing on stage will leave a metre gap at front and sides. Platform stands flush against a back wall as does the piano.\nOther singers will stand on floor at sides of platform whilst singing. Chairs will be offered for those who wish to sit at front on floor level. No perceived risks for them.\n* Conductor will stand on large box approx 15cms high and a metre square. Perceived risk – falling off. Measure taken to prevent this – conductor will stand at front of box which adjoins stage/platform. It is a solid box\, so no chance of tipping.\n* All those singing will be financial members of Sing Australia.\n* As Leader and organiser of this event\, I am happy with the safe arrangements which have been put in place.
