DESCRIPTION:Mitcham Brass band has invited us to sing Christmas Carols with them in the Mitcham Reserve. They are organising the event and providing the sound system. They will play 4 carols before we take our positions to sing 4 carols\, after which we leave the staging area to listen to 5 more songs by the band. We again then return to sing 4 more carols before the band then finishes with the Hallelujah Chorus. The movement of our members to and from the singing area will be closely monitored to prevent any risks.

SUMMARY:Merchant Navy Day Memorial Service
DESCRIPTION:Annual service to remember and commemorate those who have lost their lives in the Merchant Navy during conflicts. We first sang for this group at the 80th Anniversary of Allied Service in the Pacific in March 2022\, and then at the Merchant Navy Day Service last year. \nWe sing from the Order of Service placed in our Anzac Books and so do not require bags for our books. We usually place any members items out of the way in the keyboard bag to reduce clutter. The marquee provides protection from the elements in this outdoor service. We will support the service by singing the Naval Hymn\, the National Anthem and finish the service with Let There be Peace on Earth. \nThe Port Adelaide and Enfield Council now take responsibility for setting up the memorial area\, making sure there is no risks\, thus making it easy for us to just arrive and set up our keyboard to plug into their PA system. No perceived risks.

DESCRIPTION:Singing as part of the program of a cabaret style event to showcase and celebrate local talent staged by the Blackwood Action Group. We have been invited to perform a 15 to 20 minute bracket of high energy songs which we have chosen from Songs Around the Piano 1. Colleen and Bernie will be local faces\, with Bernie conducting. We intend to give out loan books and encourage the paying audience to sing along with us. The event is being held in the new Blackwood Library and community centre known as Tiwi Kumangka. With only 1 songbook to be taken to our singing location\, a professional set up for the show\, and the likelihood that we will be in front of the small stage\, we do not foresee any risks. This is a fantastic opportunity for exposure to a broad audience.
