This will be our first Christmas Carol Concert for the Tamworth Gardens Retirement Village. Many of our singers reside here and will be joining in for the afternoon. This an opportunity to showcase Sing Australia, encourage audience participation and perform some of our part singing.

Sing Australia Tamworth has been invited to sing I Still Call Australia Home, National Anthem and I Am Australian at the Citizenship Ceremony on Australia Day. A very special occasion we are all proud to be a part of.

FUNERAL ATTENDANCE
Sing Australia Tamworth will be attending the funeral service of our pianists mother, who passed away last week. Our group will represent Sing Australia in full Sing Australia uniform to acknowledge the commitment our pianist gives to us.

Tamworth Festival of Arts Launch
The festival launches with the Sky Whales hot air balloon exhibition. There will be a full programme of entertainment including a 15 minute slot for Sing Australia Tamworth. Professional stage and sound system provided by Tamworth City Council, parking nearby and inclusive access to venue.

Attunga Community Christmas Carols
Sing Australia Tamworth will be leading the community carols as we have several times in previous years. This time the carols are inside which greatly reduces any risk. Singers are arriving 30 minutes before start time so that they can secure close parking and set up inside safely. Singers are bringing their own water to keep hydrated; the setting may be quite hot. Tamworth Evening VIEW Club Musical Afternoon
This annual fundraiser is run by the Tamworth Evening VIEW Club for the Learning for Life Program. It was one of our group's first ever performances soon after we formed 10 years ago and we have sung every year except for 2022 when our nos were depleted due to covid. Parkinson’s Support Group Meeting
Singing is very beneficial for people with Parkinson's disease so we have been invited to lead an informal singalong with meeting participants as we have a number of times in the past. Annual open day event held at the historical Calala Cottage. Disabled parking available for less mobile singers. Members encouraged to car pool as parking may be at a premium. We will sing outdoors on level ground in the garden. Singers advised to wear hats and bring water bottles as well as a fold up chair if required. 11th birthday dinner celebration
Sing Australia Tamworth has opted for a social dinner outing to celebrate our 11th birthday. On October 10th, 2012 Colin visited Tamworth for an information and singing night and was delighted with our turn-out of 50 people and a fabulous supper. Our group commenced officially the next week, October 17th and has persisted through the ups and downs ever since. Last minute request from Mary help of Christians church to provide a few singers to boost their small church singing group on Remembrance Day. We sang at the dedication of their new memorial bell earlier in the year, a big occasion coinciding with the legacy torch relay. A few of our members belong to this popular group and the organiser has asked us to support them in presenting some entertainment at their Christmas function. The West League Club is the venue and it is has full facilities for people with disabilities. Less confident drivers will be encouraged to car pool.

Annual event marking our "comeback from Covid" last year. The carols are now held in the charming, refurbished local hall, much safer than the previous outdoor setting. There are tricky steps onto the stage so our group will sing from the floor at the front of the hall.
